They Were More Intense And More Passionate: Kohli

The Pakistani team vanquished the arch-rivals India by a mammoth 180 run difference to clinch the ICC Champions Trophy title for the first time. They were just relentless in their run to the trophy after their first match. With that they are in the elite of teams who have won all three major ICC events.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli was full of praise for the Pakistani side in the post match presentations. He said- "credit to Pakistan, they outplayed us. The way they turned things around speaks volumes of talent they have in their side. They can upset anyone on their day".

The skipper speaks about the aggression the Pakistani bowlers showed- "They were more intense and more passionate, even with the ball they were more aggressive".

Despite the anticlimatic loss Kohli praised his team and said contesting the final is also an achievement- "disappointing to lose but I am very proud of the boys". He said his decision to bowl after winning the toss was right as pitch was constant throughout.

"We just were not good enough on the day, we will take that on the chin and move away" he concluded.
