Pakistan: An Unpredictable Side
The Pakistani cricket team is ranked sixth in Tests, eighth in ODIs and second in T20Is by the International Cricket Council. They are featuring with a strange side in the ongoing Champions Trophy, especially the lower-order. They were underrated by the cricket experts and were rated lower by the betters.
Many a time their cricket gets overshadowed by unparalleled political reasons. The green-shirts often concealed by the terrorism and sometimes the acquisitiveness leading to unethical practices in the form of match-fixing.
They are again in news but this time for some good cause. The Sarfaraz-led young Pakistani side is showcasing some good cricket in the ongoing Champions Trophy. They overplayed the favourites Proteas by good bowling show and then vanquished The Lions by their all-round show to enter the semis.
Pakistan have always been a strong side in terms of bowling but now the batsman are doing equally well. The team containing Azahar Ali, young Fakhar Zaman, promising Babar Azam, the experienced Shoaib Malik & Hafeez and the skipper Sarfaraz form a strong batting line-up too.
No doubt, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) accounts a big share in their recent performance but that stubborn attitude is genetic for sure.
The Shaheens have made a strong impact so far; now who can predict if how strong it could be ?
